Ocean Insight was recently named one of the Orlando Business Journal’s 2022 Best Places to Work, an award recognizing Central Florida’s leading employers. An event honoring the winners was held Aug. 25, 2022, at SeaWorld Orlando.
The Orlando Business Journal (OBJ) is a leading regional business publisher and sponsor of Best Places to Work (BPTW).
To qualify for 2022 BPTW, participating companies were required to have a certain number of employees in Central Florida, with all companies judged on the results of an employee satisfaction survey administered by an independent third-party OBJ partner. Those companies with the highest scores qualified as winners in five categories based on number of employees. With more than 100 employees in the Greater Orlando area, Ocean Insight competed in the large company category.
According to OBJ, 98% of Ocean Insight employees completed the survey, which was a higher percentage than the average for top-scoring BPTW companies. This result is in keeping with the high level of employee engagement that distinguishes Ocean Insight.
Here are two representative excerpts of survey responses from Ocean Insight employees:
"Ocean Insight knows how refreshed, motivated and appreciated people need to be to perform greatly. The organization recognizes people’s cultures, beliefs, and contributions. Employees here can enjoy an amazing game room during our breaks that is equipped with pool tables, video game consoles, jigsaw puzzles, and more. They keep us performing at our best by having great bonus incentive programs, surprise days off for great overall company performance, fun group outings after work, field days, pop-up candy buffets in the lunchroom, ice cream sundae days, and luncheons that make you want to take a nap after."
"The organization's goals are all about driving growth. The company has a winning strategy and the executive team is experienced in growing businesses. The company is investing in its people, products, facilities, IT infrastructure, and culture to scale the business. This purposeful, execution-focused investment is fun, exciting, and rewarding. It also offers outstanding opportunities for professional growth and career development."
