What Does This Mean for Customers?

Everything you’ve depended on from Ocean Optics will remain. But for research customers and partners, we’ll expand our optical sensing technology portfolio and add the sensing tools, application support and service that enables confident experimentation and breakthrough discovery anywhere, anytime.

In addition, businesses that need custom solutions will benefit from our laser-like focus on new technologies, application consultancy, custom system design, manufacturing expertise and a global service and support network. Why is the Name Changing?

Ocean Optics is now Ocean Insight. Our name change represents deep investment in optical sensing solutions and expanded peer partner services to help bring greater value to our customers. From business or research challenges through to solutions we can help provide greater understanding and actionable insights through product and people. “Insight” reflects the knowledge we bring, the solutions we provide, and the partnerships we value. We seek to deliver insights at every level.

How Are We Doing It?

The new Ocean Insight combines our historic strength in product design and development with greater in-house, cross-functional, category-specific expertise. We’re building out the human capital that will propel solutions across multiple categories. Drawing from disciplines including systems, optics, mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, and industrial design we’re assembling the capacity to provide even deeper customer collaboration on highly precise challenges across industries.

Will the Ocean Insight change affect my open quotes and orders?

No. This rebranding will not affect or delay any current or future orders of Ocean Optics products.

Will My Current Contacts Work? 

Yes. All your current contacts for support, ordering, and customer service will remain the same. Email addresses with the @OceanOptics.com root will continue to work, but will transition to @OceanInsight.com over the coming months.

What Else I Should Be Looking Out For?

All sales and marketing materials, invoicing, packaging and related documents will be rebranded beginning immediately and continue over the course of the next several months.
