I’ve always been interested in making things that do things.
This, to me, is ultimately at the core of engineering. As a systems engineer, I’m interested in bridging multiple disciplines to create devices that solve real-world problems. The scope of knowledge required to build a novel optical-inspection system is what I find most exciting about working at the Applied Systems group.
We regularly work on designing solutions that require a solid understanding of mechanical design, optical characterization, electrical control, efficient and clever programming, and intelligent analytics. It’s great working with smart people whose experience we can leverage in all these areas, to build new devices and systems that are truly useful for our customers.
