Tech Tip: How to Find Your Spectrometer Configuration in OceanView

In this tech tip, we share how to retrieve spectrometer configuration details with a few simple steps in OceanView software.

Have you ever lost track of your Ocean Optics spectrometer system parameters? Here’s a simple tool in OceanView software to help you find key optical configuration details including slit size and wavelength range, plus the spectrometer firmware version and unit serial number.

  1. Open OceanView software and select the Schematic Window. This identifies your spectrometer model.

  1. In the Schematic Window graphic, highlight your instrument icon and double left-click it.

  1. A window will appear with details of your instrument configuration, plus the firmware version and spectrometer serial number.
